The Samithi holds a free medical camp on the same morning as the annasamaradhana. A physician, a dental surgeon, and the medicines to go with the prescription — none of it charged for.
The camp
A daily-wage worker does not lose a day’s pay to see a doctor about something that is not yet urgent. Diabetes goes unchecked, blood pressure goes unmeasured, and a tooth is pulled far later than it needed to be. The camp exists to remove the cost and the journey from that decision.
Doctors from Nuzvid give the morning. The Samithi provides the place, the volunteers and the medicines, and the same people who are fed at the annasamaradhana are seen by a doctor before they eat.

Dr. Devisetty Dinesh Babu, B.D.S., of the Sri Bhanu Smile Dental Clinic in Nuzvid. Check-ups, and the referral to his clinic for whatever cannot be done in a temple courtyard.
03
A free consultation is of little use if the prescription cannot be filled. The medicines are given at the camp, donated in memory of the late Meka Lakshmi Narayana garu.
04
Nobody is asked for a card, an income certificate or a reason. Whoever comes on that morning is seen, in the order they arrive.
When and where
The camp is set up in the premises of the Sri Kamakshi Ammavari temple at Nuzvid, on the first of every month, from ten in the morning until half past twelve. Please telephone the Samithi before you travel any distance — a festival or a doctor’s own emergency can move a date, and we would rather tell you than have you make the journey twice.
